Poll Ends: Linux would be the preffered Bada development platform!
As announced, I am closing the recent poll regarding your favorite platform for developing mobile applications. We have received 323 votes with about 44% wishing they could develop bada apps on a linux OS.
- Linux (44%)
- Windows 7 / Vista (28%)
- Windows XP (15%)
- Mac (12%)
- Others (1%)
Please note, that choices 2. and 3. together reach only about 43%. So Linux is a clear winner here. Now, where do we go from here?
Until now I have not received any clear statement from Samsung regarding a possible SDK for Linux. I have heard partially contradicting information from other sources: some of them claiming that an SDK for Linux is already under development.
I guess we will have to wait and see. Nevertheless, I trust that Samsung will use this information wisely. Keep developers happy and the apps will flow
Right now I am starting a new poll concerning the certification process. If you have already submitted an app, please vote!

Well personally I’d prefer if they concentrate on bugfixing Kies first. I couldn’t autoupdate it nor uninstall it and upgrading the Wave’s firmware also failed. Luckily it didn’t break my phone.
But I guess the IDE team is a different team so why not. Although I’d prefer to have faster debugging cycles for the emulator first.

Oh yeah,
323 votes. That’s such a representative collection that Samsung must change their course.
Come on, wake up…
